I offer a FREE initial 20-minute consultation, via telephone, videoconference or email, so that we can discuss what brings you to therapy and how I might be able to help. My standard rate is $200 for a 50-minute session. If this seems out of your reach right now, email me at [email protected] or call me at 415/820-1590 and we can discuss fee options.

Insurance

I do not currently accept insurance. I am able to provide a monthly invoice for counseling sessions, which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if covered. Please contact your insurance company to confirm your out-of-network benefits prior to your first session.

Credit Cards

I accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards for in-person payment.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
